Prime Minister of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov believes that the current economic situation is likely to affect the economic performance of the republic, however, a significant decrease in growth rates is not expected, since the republic in recent years has not only strengthened the industrial cluster, including through import substitution but also determined future points of economic growth that will allow us to survive the sanctions and maintain the momentum of development.
Nazarov made a post about this on his Telegram channel. He named oil refining and the chemical industry, mechanical engineering, and the production of furniture and building materials as key industries. The republic has made significant progress in these sectors. Here are just a few of them: the region has taken 3rd place in Russia in the production of buses and helicopters, technologies for creating drones are being introduced, and autonomous trolleybuses are being produced. The republic leads in the production of sheet glass and ranks second in the country in the production of chipboard, and furniture production in 2021 increased by 1.7 times.
The republic focuses on the development of long-term tools for creating investment and industrial attractiveness. A good example here is the fastly developing "Alga" special economic zone, which includes 12 industrial parks and 18 technology parks, and these are jobs, investments in science, production of modern technologies, development of the IT sector, related industries, which means a synergistic effect for the entire economy. These areas will be actively supported, the Russian government has already adopted several packages of measures to support the industrial sector, and recently announced another one for a total of 146 billion rubles.
“We provide the main assistance to local producers - they are the ones who form our confidence today,” Nazarov said.
