Today an ecological forum and a specialized exhibition "Ecology and Technologies" have opened at VDNKh-Expo in Ufa. More than 40 participants from six regions of Russia and China presented their expositions there.
“The environmental agenda is crucial to all of us. This is the main challenge for humanity. It is very pleasant that there is an opportunity to bring together Ufa government officials, experts, scientists, and entrepreneurs who work in the field of ecology. We in the republic are systematically and progressively solving environmental issues. In a little over two years, we began to create an infrastructure for working with solid household waste. We began to address the issue of sorting, recycling, etc. Therefore, today, it will be interesting to see the best practices that exist in our large country. The exhibition presents expositions of several enterprises that are very actively working in the field of environmental safety. We will have a pleasant event today. One of the largest enterprises in Bashkortostan, Polief, will launch a large project in the field of alternative energy. The company has built a modern solar power plant, which we will put into pilot operation. It is one of the stages of the great work that Polief is doing in the field of ecology,” Radiy Khabirov said at the opening of the exhibition.

In production, it is planned to use about 34 thousand tons of secondary raw materials annually. At present, the number of collected PET bottles in the region is 4,000 tons per year. According to expert estimates, the potential volume maybe 20 thousand tons per year.
