Lukoil and Rosneft will switch to catalysts from Bashkiria

The Lukoil and Rosneft companies will refuse to use Western catalysts in favor of the products manafuctured at the Ishimbay Specialized Chemical Plant.

According to the Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation RB Alexander Sheldyaev, this will ensure the security and independence of the fuel and energy complex of Bashkiria.

“The largest manufacturer of oil refining catalysts in Russia and Eastern Europe is the Ishimbay Specialized Chemical Plant of Catalysts, which are not inferior in quality to Western counterparts. Due to its own developments and production capacities, the plant is ready to meet the demand for oil refining catalysts for all manufacturers of motor fuels in the country,” he said.

It is noted that import substitution with products from Ishimbay has been carried out at the country's factories since 2014. Thus, all Rosneft refineries are provided with cracking catalysts.
