Tatyana Aksyutina

The Prime Minister of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov, reporting to the deputies of the State Assembly - Kurultay RB on the results of the work of the government, named the priority tasks of the agro-industrial complex of the republic. This is “a further increase in the food security of the region, preventing disruptions in the sowing season and ensuring the readiness of both the technological equipment and the seed pool, and the fertilizer complex; replacement of imported spare parts and consumables for harvesting and agricultural machinery”.

Speaking about agriculture, the Prime Minister noted that the severe drought in 2021 affected the results of the industry. The agricultural production index amounted to 84.7% by 2020. In terms of gross output of the agro-industrial complex (185.6 billion rubles, in 2020 - 177.1 billion rubles), the republic took 12th place in the Russian Federation with a share of 2.5% and 3rd place in the Volga Federal District (11.7%).

“At the same time, the region still occupies a leading position in the production of milk and mare’s milk, beef, marketable honey, the number of horses and cattle,” the Bashkir prime minister noted.

In 2021, Bashkiria produced more than 1.6 million tons of milk (96.6% of the 2020 level) and about 406 thousand tons of livestock and poultry meat for slaughter (94.9% of the 2020 level).

“We manage to ensure a high level of food security. The republic fully meets its needs for milk and dairy products (self-sufficiency is 124%), beef (121%), pork (107%), eggs (108%), sugar (4.7 times), vegetable oil (6. 8 times), potatoes (135%), fresh cucumbers (136%) and tomatoes (175%),” Andrei Nazarov emphasized.

As of 2022, about 6 billion rubles (5.7) were allocated to support the agro-industrial complex. These are subsidies for the purchase of machinery, mineral fertilizers, elite seeds, forage base, the purchase of raw materials for the food processing industry, and several other areas.

Due to support measures of the agro-industrial complex for 7.2 billion rubles, an increase in the use of mineral fertilizers by 13% and an increase in the share of elite seeds to 11% were ensured. Agrarians of the republic purchased 3.5 thousand units of machinery and equipment for a total amount of more than 12 billion rubles (which is 2 billion rubles more than in 2020).

The development of small businesses and the implementation of large investment projects have made it possible to ensure a steady growth in the production of marketable milk by 100.4% (in 2020, the growth is 101.8%). In 2021, four more projects in dairy cattle breeding were completed, which in the future will provide an additional 12,000 tons of milk.

Since last year, two sugar factories have been modernized (JSC Chishminsky Sugar Plant and Raevsakhar LLC).

In addition, in 2022б it is planned to complete such large investment projects as the first stage of the construction of a dairy farm for 6,530 heads of dairy herds and 3,000 heads of young cattle in the Aurgazinsky district for a total amount of 4.6 billion rubles ("Urozhay" LLC), and the construction of a modern pig farm for 15 thousand tons of pork in live weight per year, with an investment of 3.1 billion rubles ("Ural Meat Company" LLC), the construction of a cattle-breeding complex "Semeno – Makarovo" for 2,800 heads from breeding grounds in the Ermekeyevsky district for 2.9 billion rubles ("Severnaya Niva Bashkiria" LLC).

The implementation of investment projects for pig breeding by the Tavros Group of Companies in the Alsheevsky and Belebeevsky districts (Ural Meat Company LLC, Bashkir Meat Company LLC) will make it possible to obtain up to 23,000 additional tons of meat this year.
