Project for liquefied gas production was given priority status in Bashkiria

The Salavat project for a complex construction to produce liquefied natural gas is included in the List of Priority Investment Projects, the Ministry of Economic Development RB reported. This status will give the investor benefits from income tax, property tax, land lease, various types of subsidies, including those for certain sectors of the economy. In turn, the investment project must meet several requirements - be registered in the region, a certain amount of investment, the number of jobs created, etc.

“The result of the project implementation will be the creation of a modern low-tonnage production of liquefied natural gas in the republic. The investor will create new jobs in the high-tech gas sector, increase tax revenues to the regional budget. The operation of a modern production complex and the production of cryogenic fuel with its subsequent sale through a network of cryo-fuel filling stations will allow the region to become one of the leading Russian regions actively developing the use of LNG as a gas vehicle fuel. It will also have a positive impact on the environmental situation, on the level of comfortable living for the inhabitants of the region,” Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Muratov commented.

The use of liquefied natural gas will reduce emissions of harmful substances into the environment. Compared to a diesel engine, the carbon dioxide emissions of the CNG engine are 27% less, nitrogen oxides - by 76%. In addition, the use of LNG reduces the cost of transportation by 25%, increases the service life of the engine by almost 1.5 times due to fuel burnout without residue and carbon deposits.

The complex for the production and shipment of liquefied natural gas is planned to be built near the Salavat-4 gas distribution station. The investor invests 1.5 billion rubles in the project. The project implementation period is 2021-2023. It is planned to create 25 jobs.
