Agricultural enterprises of Bashkiria exported products worth $328.8 million in 2021

The main importers of Bashkir food are the so-called. friendly countries, so the export direction will continue to develop, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus.

“If three years ago the republic mainly supplied raw materials abroad, for example, grain crops, then in 2021 the focus has shifted to high value-added products. The growth of agricultural exports is primarily due to a significant increase in shipments of products from the oil and fat industry and the processing industry, as well as grain, dairy, and meat products. Today we must increase the production of raw materials and foodstuffs, primarily for the needs of the republic. However, we will definitely develop exports as well. For example, the same vegetable oil the region produces 7 times more than the population needs. Naturally, this and some other areas will remain export-oriented,” commented Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.

The main export products of Bashkiria are sunflower oil, legumes, cake, sugar, and barley. The main buyer countries are Turkey, Kazakhstan, and China. In 2021, the products of the oil and fat industry amounted to $ 231.24 million, food and processing industry products $ 24.02 million, grain $ 21.47 million, meat and dairy products - $ 7.44 million, other agricultural products - $ 44.58 million.
