Ufa may host IT conference

Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov proposed to hold an IT conference in Ufa. This may become one of the points for fulfilling the order of the Russian government to support specialists in the field and discuss pressing issues.

“We will make every effort to employ IT specialists in our projects. Now IT companies have already been released from scheduled inspections for 3 years,” the head of the cabinet of ministers of the republic posted. “All of us, who find themselves under sanctions pressure, now face a very important task - to resist it. It is necessary to improve Russian competitive analogs of foreign products and improve their image. Earlier, we at the project office for anti-crisis measures have already sorted out the problems that have arisen due to sanctions with our telecom operators. We will develop our support measures soon.”

According to Andrey Nazarov, it is necessary to create a comfortable environment for IT specialists in the country. The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation has already proposed several supportive measures: to simplify the certification of imported IT equipment and the preparation of import documents, to create a marketplace for Russian software, to co-finance up to 80% of the cost of advertising Russian products online, to create industry and regional centers of competence, to hold industry events to present the best practices of import substitution and others.
