Head of Bashkiria discussed cooperation with President of Turkish Machine Manufacturers Association

The President of the Machine Manufacturers Association of Turkey Emre Gençer arrived in Ufa on a business visit. Points of interaction on several issues were outlined at a meeting with Radiy Khabirov.

“Now is a challenging period, but it is the most suitable to start interesting and promising projects. Paradoxically, in international cooperation too. Today's visit of the Turkish delegation is a confirmation of this. We have long wanted to establish ties with the machine-building block of the Turkish business. We have mutual interests, and today with the President of the Machine Manufacturers Association of Turkey Emre Gençer, we have outlined points of interaction on some issues,” Radiy Khabirov stressed.

One of the main issues was the supply of equipment, consumables for Bashkir industrial enterprises, as well as agricultural and road equipment.

Another important issue is the possibility of localizing Turkish production in Bashkiria.

Also, plans were discussed to bring the products of Bashkir companies to Turkish markets.

According to the press service of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Emre Gençer thanked the Head of the Region for his great attention to the development of international cooperation and the opportunity to exchange constructive proposals.

Emre Gençer spoke about the intentions to organize the production, maintenance, and repair of various equipment in Russia. To do this, the Turkish side plans to study the investment climate of the Russian regions.

“In addition, the financial departments of the Republic of Turkey are working to create a convenient mechanism for settlements with Russian enterprises,” he added.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov suggested holding an exhibition of Turkish companies producing equipment for the food and processing industry in Ufa. In particular, he noted the interest in the development of leather processing.

Emre Gençer supported the initiative to participate in the exposition, adding that after the completion of his visit to Bashkortostan, he would form a list of Turkish enterprises ready to present their equipment.

General Director of Bashkiravtodor JSC Ildar Yulanov said that as part of the modernization of production facilities, the company planned to purchase 16 new complexes for asphalt concrete mix production, as well as optimize the purchase of spare parts for foreign equipment.

“We are ready to consider Turkish organizations among potential suppliers,” he said.

At the end of the meeting, the President of the Machine Manufacturers Association invited the delegation of Bashkortostan to visit Turkey to discuss specific joint projects.

At the end of 2021, trade between Bashkortostan and Turkey doubled to $208 million, this is one of the key partners of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Since the autumn of 2020, a representative office of the Congress Bureau of the republic has been operating in Turkey, which helps Turkish businesses to establish trade and economic ties with Bashkortostan. There are 29 enterprises in the region, created with the participation of capital from Turkey, they are engaged in trade, food delivery, service, construction, woodworking, etc. The Turkish Limak holding is participating in one of the largest and most significant infrastructure projects - the construction of the Eastern Exit from Ufa.
