Almost 2.3 billion rubles were allocated to support farmers in Bashkiria over three years

In 2019-2021, the total amount of state support for small businesses in the agro-industrial complex of Bashkortostan amounted to 2.271 billion rubles, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Ramil Nuriakhmetov said at a government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov.

“Today, more than 6,800 farms operate in Bashkortostan, which provide up to 15% of the total agricultural production. At the same time, up to 40 percent falls on personal subsidiary plots. This is a good potential for developing farming and increasing the production of marketable products,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

He added that currently, small businesses played a significant role in Bashkortostan in increasing the volume of agricultural production.

“Occupying 16% of the area of ​​agricultural land in the region, in 2021, farmers produced 33% of grain, 20% of sugar beet, 78% of protected ground vegetables, about 13% of milk, and 6% of meat,” Ramil Nuriakhmetov said. “By involving large households by 2030, we plan to increase the share of farmers in gross agricultural output to 20%. Here, of course, government support programs help us.”

 In 2022, a new Agrotourism program will start, for the implementation of which 7.4 million rubles of budget funds will be allocated.
