Second electric charging station for electric vehicles and electric buses will be opened in Ufa

At a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission with the Rostec Corporation, Alexander Pan, General Director of JSC Concern Radioelectronic Technologies (KRET), spoke about plans to create electric charging stations in Bashkortostan.

“Over the past six years, our concern has built 200 electric vehicle charging stations in Russia,” Alexander Pan said. “In 2021, we installed an experimental electric charging station near the Ufa airport to charge the first electric bus in Bashkortostan. This year we plan to open a second station next to the Bashkiria lifestyle center. We are also ready to start producing components for electric charging stations at Ufa enterprises that are part of Rostec. This will strengthen the project for the development of environmentally-friendly electric transport and create new high-tech jobs in the region.

Alexander Pan noted that by 2030 every tenth car in Russia would run on electricity. 72,000 electric charging stations will be required to service them.

“It is necessary, together with representatives of the republic, to determine the need and location of these facilities on the spot,” instructed Anatoly Serdyukov, industrial director of the Rostec aviation complex.

At a meeting of the interdepartmental commission, it was decided to create a joint working group for the development of electric transport in Bashkortostan.

“The republic is ready to get actively involved in this work. We have already accumulated much experience in switching passenger transport to natural gas, together with Gazprom we built CNG stations (automotive gas filling compressor stations), purchased new buses running on methane,” Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov stressed.
