The Russian authorities will soon increase the minimum wage, the minimum subsistence level, salaries of state employees, as well as all social benefits. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, opening on Wednesday a meeting on socio-economic support for the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
“I understand that rising prices seriously affect people's incomes. Therefore, soon, we will decide to increase all social payments, including benefits and pensions. We will raise the minimum wage (minimum wage) and the subsistence minimum, as well as increase salaries in the public sector,” the head of state said.
In addition, he instructed the government to quickly analyze the effectiveness of measures to support people who have lost their jobs. As the president noted, it is obvious that such measures should be expanded, including through the social contract mechanism.
