The construction of the Eastern Exit from Ufa continues as planned, despite the increase in prices for building materials and the Western sanctions. As planned, it will be commissioned by the end of 2023, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov said, answering a question from the Bashinform News Agency after inspecting the progress of the construction road tunnel of the largest infrastructure project.
The Head of the Republic noted that the cost of construction would be recalculated and after that, the issues of financing the construction would be worked out with the federal government and changes would be made to the budget of Bashkortostan.
The road tunnel from the side of the Ufa River towards the previously constructed section began to be constructed in December 2020. In technical terms, this is one of the most difficult sections of the Eastern Exit. According to the builders, the Ufa tunnel is a unique object, since its maximum depth is more than 60 meters.
In December last year, one of the key moments was the completion of the cutting of the upper part of the South Tunnel - now the equipment passes through it and delivers building materials in a short way to the work sites.
Currently, 2,489 people and 357 units of construction machinery and equipment are involved in the facility.
As of March 1, 2022, since the resumption of construction, work has been accepted for 15.98 billion rubles.
Eastern Exit is the largest infrastructure project in the Volga Federal District. The unique project includes a road tunnel with a length of 1.2 km; a bridge across the Ufa River with a flyover 2.7 km long and a highway with a junction to the federal highway M-5 "Ural" 10 km long.
Construction and installation work is being actively carried out at the facility, including mining work in the Northern and Southern road tunnels, work on the construction of supports for a bridge structure across the Ufa River, as well as the flyover part of the highway.
The total construction cost of the facility is estimated at 33.5 billion rubles. Of these, the federal budget will cover 19.9 billion rubles, the budget of Bashkortostan - 4.5 billion rubles and 9 billion extra-budgetary sources.
