Migration gain amounted to almost 15 thousand people in Bashkiria according to results of 2021

At the end of 2021, the total migration increase amounted to 14,879 people, while in 2020 this figure was negative: minus 4,956 people.

“For the first time in eight years, we saw a positive trend in the middle of last year. The inhabitants of our republic began to leave less, those who once left for jobs, including our "northerners", are returning. The number of compatriots who return from abroad is growing. And this result is the merit of every inhabitant of our republic. People go for the prospects that we open for them. We are implementing serious investment projects, creating special economic zones and priority development areas, building factories, opening new technology parks. Together with you, we create a comfortable environment, improve yards, parks, and public areas - and of course, this generates interest in our region," the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov posted on his social media.

He also noted that more students came to study at the universities of Bashkortostan. This became possible due to the increase in the number of state-financed places in educational institutions of the republic. The project of the world-class Eurasian Research and Educational Center is very promising.
