Prime Minister of Bashkiria Government spoke about new business subsidies

Tatyana Aksyutina

Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov held a regular meeting of the Anti-Crisis Headquarters of the republic, where government officials discussed problems with entrepreneurs due to the sanctions imposed against Russia.

“We decided to subsidize the transportation costs for companies in order to not let our enterprises “go down” and make their products competitive. We will reimburse up to 90% of the costs. This measure will be extended to small and medium-sized businesses. For large companies, such compensation is provided at the federal level”, Andrey Nazarov said.

Also, the head of the regional cabinet of ministers advised entrepreneurs to contact the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations for contacts of reliable partners-exporters.

“Due to sanctions restrictions on the import and export of products, now many foreign companies refrain from working with us directly. Therefore, through our representative offices in Kazakhstan and Turkey, we began to register legal entities of Bashkir enterprises there. Over the past week, 10 companies have already taken advantage of this opportunity. In the near future, they will start labeling their products abroad, which will avoid falling under sanctions,” Andrey Nazarov stressed.

Also, two new centers for import substitution and import supply will be created in Bashkiria. The specialists of the first will help republican enterprises to find new suppliers of equipment, components, raw materials, both in Russia and in friendly countries. The second will track the illegal price increases.

“We will connect all these processes to the system of the Republic’s Management Center. This will allow us to monitor the situation in real-time,” the Prime Minister explained.

The meeting also discussed the reduction of administrative pressure on the business. The day before, the President of Russia signed a federal law to minimize the number of control and supervisory inspections of small and medium-sized enterprises. In this connection, a moratorium is introduced in the republic. According to Andrey Nazarov, a similar measure in the 2020 pandemic year allowed the region to cut more than in half the number of inspections.
