Russia will simplify procedure for tourism infrastructure projects and businesses registration

Legislative changes approved by President Vladimir Putin on March 8, 2022 will support tourism infrastructure projects and businesses.

In particular, the government received expanded powers to simplify licensing procedures in the construction sector, including the creation of tourist facilities and supporting infrastructure - roads, engineering structures. Due to this, it became possible to establish a simplified regime for the preparation of documentation for the planning of territories, town planning plans, and the procedure for putting objects into operation.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, this will allow investors in the tourism industry to speed up their access to the construction site, the launch of projects and the direct commissioning of facilities.

Earlier the Acting Chairman of the State Committee RB  for Tourism Rinat Fatkullin stated that Bashkiria was participating in two major federal projects in the field of tourism. One of them is the Toratau Geopark.

From February 21 to 25, UNESCO experts from Ireland and Spain worked in the Toratau Regional Geopark in Bashkortostan. They checked it for compliance with the criteria of the UNESCO Global Geoparks.

Recall that the regional geopark "Toratau" was created in December 2018. Last year, it was included in the list of 16 candidate territories for inclusion in the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network. It should also be noted that the Yangan-Tau geopark has already been included in the UNESCO World Network.
