In the new economic reality, Russia's business priorities on the world stage are rapidly transforming. Sanctions imposed by the United States and European countries open up many opportunities to find new partners in other regions and strengthen existing relationships.
The Asian market, for example, China or Central Asia, has great prospects here. This is confirmed by the recent business meeting of the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, with the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Russia, Davlatshokh Gulmakhmadzoda.
The potential for the development of economic and social cooperation between the republics is highly appreciated by the Deputy Director of the Institute of Law of the Bashkir State University for International Affairs and Public Relations, Doctor of Law, Professor Rishat Nigmatullin.
"Bashkiria actively participates in the implementation of the International Cooperation and Export national project. In 2021 it became one of the leaders among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in increasing the volume of non-resource non-energy exports. Deliveries of industrial goods and agricultural products can be a sphere of cooperation between our republics. In Bashkiria, the practice of state support for export business projects has developed today, which is carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities, as well as the Export Support Center RB. The presence of the Consulate General of Tajikistan in Ufa should also be considered an additional factor," Rishat Nigmatullin stressed.
As the scientist notes, an important role is played by cooperation in the field of education. Graduates of universities in Bashkiria from other countries successfully find themselves in various sectors of the economy and often occupy high positions in the leadership of their regions.
"Today, 1,273 students from Tajikistan study at our universities, including more than 200 at Ufa State Petroleum Technological University and 155 at Bashkir State University," Rishat Nigmatullin continued.
Rishat Nigmatullin believes that the search for new markets in Asia is particularly important in the current geopolitical situation.
