Bee Happy froze honey production project in Bashkiria for year

French investor Patrick Hoffman (Otrada group of companies) announced the freezing of his investment project due to geopolitical tensions. Presentation of an investment project to produce premium quality Bashkir honey was to be held today in the Ishimbaysky district with a view to its further export. The company "Bee Happy" was registered in Bashkortostan to launch the project in May, and a road map was developed.

 "The current environment is leading to fundamental changes in the economic aspects of the project and its financing. Delivery of imported equipment from the European Union in time for the next honey season is also no longer possible. At the same time, I do not want to abandon the project completely, and I am ready to return to it in a year when politics will fade into the background and trade, economic, and investment ties will be restored again," Patrick Hoffman said.

According to the investor, Bee Happy will not take part in the upcoming auction for the lease of 14 forest plots scheduled for March 5.

The French entrepreneur noted that in the 20 years of his life and work in Russia, he had only recently been able to study Bashkiria - a republic of unprecedented beauty, kind people, and a very favorable investment climate.

"One of its brands is Bashkir honey, which so far has limited recognition abroad, although there is huge potential for this. I believe that high-quality linden Bashkir honey can compete globally with the same Manuka honey from New Zealand. I hope that we will implement our project and make Bashkir honey a global brand in the future," Patrick Hoffman summed up.
