Investments in Bashkiria trade sphere show significant growth

Investments in fixed assets in the trade sector for nine months of 2021 increased in Bashkiria by 22.3% and amounted to 3.1 billion rubles, as stated at the board of the Ministry of Trade and Services of the region.

The volume of tax and non-tax revenues to the consolidated budget of the republic increased by 32% last year.

“Retail trade turnover last year reached the trillion benchmark for the first time,” Alexey Gusev, the Minister of Trade, said. “In 2021, more than 250 new retail facilities were commissioned. The volume of Internet commerce in the republic in the context of large and medium-sized companies grew by 42.8 percent over the year and reached 8.5 billion rubles.”

Meanwhile, last year wholesale turnover exceeded retail for the first time and amounted to 1.204 trillion rubles.

As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, following the results of 11 months of 2021, Bashkiria hit the top ten regions of Russia in terms of retail trade turnover. In January-November 2021, goods worth 295.8 billion rubles were sold in the region; half of this amount was for food.

By January 1, 2022, there were more than 25 thousand trade enterprises in the republican market. Of these, 5.5 thousand food stores, 9.5 thousand non-food stores, as well as 5.8 thousand shops of a mixed assortment, 4.5 thousand non-stationary points, 620 shopping malls, and 39 retail markets.

In general, over 200 new retail facilities were commissioned in Bashkiria in 2021, including stores of republican and federal retail chains and farm shops.
