First stage of rapeseed processing plant was launched in Bashkiria

At the beginning of 2022, the first stage of the rapeseed processing plant, a new oil churn, and a press were opened in the Askinsky district of Bashkiria. This was announced by the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, emphasizing that the plant's project was considered at an Investment Hour session in 2019.

"This plant will allow us to increase the sowing of oilseeds (rapeseed, flax, mustard). Rapeseed is a high-margin crop; it is easy to keep and takes root well in our conditions. This is a good help for agrarians and farmers," Radiy Khabirov said. "The plant is powerful - we plan to process more than 30 thousand tons of seeds per year and produce vegetable oil in the amount of more than 10 thousand tons per year. The project provides an elevator with a one-time storage capacity of up to 50,000 tons. We will be able to grow, store, process rapeseed here in Bashkortostan and sell it at competitive prices."

According to the Head of the Region, today, rapeseed is in great demand on the world market, and rapeseed cake, which remains after processing, is in great demand in dairy farming. The project's total cost is more than 1.5 billion rubles, about 400 million rubles were spent at the first stage.

The plant has already created new jobs. In total, the company will employ 1.5 thousand employees.
