

On February 9, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, took part in a meeting on supporting small and medium-sized businesses in the country's regions, which was held via videoconference by First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Andrey Belousov.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin set a goal of involving 25 million people in the business sector by 2030. Today we see that most country regions are actively working in this direction, exceeding the planned growth rates. At the end of 2021, a significant increase in the number of self-employed citizens is observed in Russia," Andrey Belousov noted. "At the same time, there are some regions that do not achieve the set targets. Therefore, it is important to discuss common problems of the "Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives" national project and work out additional measures to support the business sector.
Tatyana Ilyushnikova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia, noted that according to the results of the third quarter of 2021, the country actually reached the employment level in the SME sector of 25.2 million people, which made it possible to adjust the target indicator upwards.
Thus, according to the data of 2021, 126.9 thousand small and medium-sized businesses are registered in Bashkortostan, which is 103.9 percent compared to 2020. In terms of the SMEs number, the republic ranks 11th in Russia and 3rd among the subjects of the Volga Federal District.
Over 1.3 billion rubles were allocated for state support of entrepreneurs within the framework of the "Development and Support of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses in the Republic of Bashkortostan" state program and the "Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives" national project in 2021, including 700 million rubles - from the federal budget.
In addition, as part of anti-crisis measures, entrepreneurs received 590.9 million rubles from the republican budget as subsidies for the payment of the minimum wage for non-working days in 2021.
