According to the State Committee for Tourism RB, in 2021, the tourist flow increased by 17% compared to 2020, when 2.69 million tourists visited Bashkiria.
The republic enjoys the greatest popularity among neighbors from the Chelyabinsk region, the Orenburg region, Tatarstan, and Moscow and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District residents. As a rule, guests come on weekend tours.
"A good trend is that the business community is actively involved in this topic, developing new travel packages, routes, souvenirs. One of the most important tasks is to support such initiatives," the Acting Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism RB, Rinat Fatkullin, commented.
According to him, now the republic is actively preparing to join the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry". Within its framework, subsidies will be allocated to the regions to develop tourism infrastructure. "This will become another driver for developing entrepreneurial interest in the tourism sector," the Chairman of the Committee said.
