Effectiveness of emissions purification was checked after Uralpromtekhservis plant launch in Sibay

The degree of purification is 98%, the Minister of Ecology of Bashkiria Ural Iskandarov noted on his social media.

As previously reported, on February 1, the production of lignosulfonates was relaunched at the Uralpromtekhservis plant. In December 2021, the enterprise allowed work without purification - the snow turned yellow in the city.

The plant was shut down to install new gas cleaning equipment for the lignosulfonate drying lines.

“After the modernization, UGAK specialists took emissions samples at the sources of the enterprise. Based on the results obtained, it was concluded that the purification efficiency during the operation of the installed equipment is up to 98%,” the minister posted. Ural Iskandarov recommended that the enterprise master and certify the methodology for assessing the content of lignosulfonate emissions and increasing control frequency.

Lignosulfonates are widely used to produce concrete and drilling fluids, binders, dyes.
