Demand for personnel has grown by one and half in Bashkiria over year

The research service of hh.ru, the largest Russian online platform for finding jobs and employees, analyzed the situation in the labor market of the Republic of Bashkortostan: in 2021, 49% more vacancies were opened in the region than a year ago. At the same time, the number of active resumes increased by only 5% year-on-year.

According to the hh.ru vacancies database, the most noticeable increase in demand was in the professional areas  - Administrative Personnel (the number of vacancies increased by 129% by 2020), Consulting (+123%), and Household Personnel (+117%).

The popularity of such areas as “Civil Service, Non-Profits” (the number of resumes increased by 26% by 2020), “Consulting” (+20%), and “Raw Materials Extraction” (+19%) has noticeably grown among job seekers.

At the same time, in general, there was a moderate level of competition in favor of the applicant in the regional labor market in 2021: on average, there were 4.6 resumes per vacancy. The most challenging areas in terms of hiring new employees are “Sales” (1.6 resumes per vacancy), “Construction” and “Working personnel” (1.7 each), “Medicine, pharmaceuticals” (2.1).

A survey of applicants, which was recently conducted by the hh.ru Research Service together with the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Bashkortostan, showed that applicants from Bashkiria assess their chances of successful employment in the next three months relatively high. For example, 55.4% are sure they will find a job during this period, only 36.6% have doubts about this, 8% found it difficult to answer. At the same time, employed residents of the region feel quite stable in their current workplace: only 15.9% of respondents feel the threat of employment termination, another 67.5% believe that there are no such risks for them.
