Labor migrants influx is expected to resume in Bashkiria this year

It is assumed that about 22,000 foreign workers will receive patents for labor activity.

The Government of Bashkortostan approved the Concept of Migration Policy for 2022-2025.

According to the document, it is planned to attract more and more workers from far abroad (as a rule, these are highly qualified specialists) - from 300 this year to 360 people in 2025.

The share of qualified specialists must be at least 90%. The task was set to create conditions for 26 thousand people to receive patents in 2024-2025.

As previously reported, the average price of a patent for the implementation of labor activity by foreigners for the current year was planned in the amount of 4.4 thousand rubles. If 22 thousand people receive them, 96.8 million rubles will go to the state treasury.

In 2020, the influx of labor migrants to Bashkiria fell sharply amid the pandemic - 10.6 thousand people - 60% less than in 2019. In January-September 2021, the number of officially employed migrants in Bashkiria reached 15 thousand, of which 14.7 thousand received patents, according to the Ministry of Labor RB. Basically, labor migrants are involved in construction and agriculture.

According to the results of nine months of 2021, statisticians recorded a positive balance of migration - for the first time in eight years, more people came to Bashkiria than left. The international migration increase in the republic amounted to more than 5.2 thousand people in January-September 2021. This was reflected in the overall migration growth of the republic, which reached 4.3 thousand people.

Also, an increasing role in the migration flow is played by students - both local, leaving to study outside the republic and arriving.

The share of leaving graduates is expected to systematically reduce from 37% in 2022 to 34% in 2025. It is planned to organize internships for 365 students annually to encourage them to come back.

In 2021, there were 5 thousand international students at Ufa universities. In connection with the organization of the Eurasian REC, their number is expected to increase to 15 thousand people in 2030. Now Ufa universities earn about 400 million rubles from international students a year.

In order to support the international students' influx, the Concept assumes that all of them should be provided with hostels and social support, conditions for learning by the characteristics of psychophysical development and health characteristics.
