Bashkortostan is leader among Russian regions in number of PDA residents

Bashkortostan is the leader among the regions of Russia in terms of the number of residents of the priority development areas(PDA), Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov states.

Today there are 103 residents of the PDAs in the region.

“Russian and foreign companies are actively coming to us, ready to invest significant funds and implement their investment projects. The trust of our companies is growing,” the Head of the Republic says.

At the end of 2021, 35 residents from Bashkortostan were registered with the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, which is 25% more than in 2020. PDA residents have already invested 5.4 billion rubles in the economy of Bashkortostan, due to which 3.6 thousand people have been employed. In total, it is planned to attract more than 52 billion rubles of investments and create about 8 thousand jobs as part of the implementation of investment projects in the PDAs.

Recall that there are five priority development areas in the Republic of Bashkortostan - in Kumertau, Blagoveshchensk, Neftekamsk, Beloretsk and Belebey.

PDA resident enterprises enjoy income tax benefits. The federal part is set to zero, the regional part during the first five years is 5%, in the next five years - 10%. There is a reduced coefficient for the application of the mineral extraction tax. Tariffs for insurance payments have also been reduced (from 30% to 7.6%) within the first three years since the creation of PDA. At the regional level, PDA residents are exempt from paying property tax and at the municipal level, from land tax.
