Upcoming sowing campaign cost will amount to 19 billion rubles in Bashkiria - Ministry of Agriculture

Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan - Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, named three fundamental principles of the upcoming sowing campaign at the zonal agronomic conference. These are short terms of agrotechnical and sowing works, good seeds, and a proper amount of fertilizers.

Federal meteorologists predict another drought for the Volga region, which is already becoming a regular occurrence, emphasized by the Agrarian Minister of the republic. This means that the agrarians of the republic should correctly select crops, taking into account world experience, and focus on drought-resistant, adapted varieties, he noted. Experience also shows the need to use the right amount of fertilizers. The plan for their purchase for 2022 in the region is 220 thousand tons, which is one of the main items of expenditure for the upcoming sowing campaign.

 At the same time, it was noted that the total cost of sowing has noticeably risen in price, up to 19 billion rubles in 2022 in Bashkortostan. This is 3 billion rubles more than last year's sowing campaign. The primary sources of financing were short-term loans and funds from the sale of crop products last year.

 Ilshat Fazrakhmanov analyzed selling prices for agricultural crops. Calculations show that crop production in 2021 has risen in price by 38% compared to 2020. A year earlier, the price rise was 33%.
