It is planned to build 10 more CNG filling stations in Bashkiria in 2022

In 2022, it is planned to build at least ten more methane gas filling stations in Bashkiria. The Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, spoke about the plans to develop the gas filling network in the region.

At the end of 2021, Bashkortostan ranks first regarding the number of CNG filling compressor stations. Currently, there are already 41 of them in the republic.

“Gas is less damaging to the environment than gasoline emissions. We have indeed built and continue to build CNG filling stations. We are creating an infrastructure convenient for motorists so that they can refuel anywhere in our republic. We are still at the beginning of this story. Bashkortostan needs at least several hundreds of CNG filling stations,” the Head of the Republic noted.

However, CNG filling stations are loaded only by 10% - few vehicles switch to gas motor fuel.

“That is why we are trying to buy gas-powered equipment for Bashkiravtodor, Bashavtotrans, municipal utilities. Now it is also essential for us to create a convenient infrastructure for the transfer and maintenance of the methane engine. By the way, we have a special program for subsidizing the replacement of equipment - 2/3 of the costs are reimbursed by the state and PJSC Gazprom, allowing us to resolve emerging issues quickly.”
