The transport facility should be commissioned in 2024.
The results of the largest project in the transport infrastructure of Ufa were discussed at the "Transport Hour" session in the government of Bashkiria. According to the press service of the Ministry of Transport RB, the work schedule was discussed, including the connection of the Eastern Exit to the city street network through an overpass over Salavat Yulaev Avenue.
Currently, 2,413 people and 351 special vehicles are involved in the facility. Construction and installation works are being actively carried out at the facility, including mining in the Northern and Southern road tunnels, construction of bridge supports across the Ufa River, and overpasses and highways.
Last year, one of the key moments was the completion of cutting the upper part of the South Tunnel - now, the equipment can go through it and shortly deliver building materials.
In 2021, the republic, as part of its obligations to provide the concessionaire with tax benefits, included the Eastern Exit project in the Priority Investment Projects RB list.
In the near future, the launching of the bridge crossing will begin.
"The work is proceeding at a good pace following the approved schedule. Our task is to provide the construction site with all the necessary resources promptly," Radiy Khabirov said.
The project includes a 1.2 km road tunnel, a bridge across the Ufa River with a 2.7 km overpass, and a 10 km high-speed four-lane road with an adjoining M-5 highway.
