32 residents with 2.6 billion rubles of investments have started working in Kumertau PDA for five years

At the end of December 2021, the city of Kumertau celebrated the fifth anniversary of receiving the status of a territory of advanced socio-economic development. Over the years, 32 Kumertau priority development area (PDA) residents have been registered in the federal register. The volume of their proceeds on an accrual basis reached 56 billion rubles, the number of jobs created amounted to 1485, the volume of investments - 2.6 billion rubles. This is an excellent indicator for a city where, until recently, only helicopter production (Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise) was the city-forming enterprise.

The "anchor" project of the Kumertau priority development area is the construction of an oil extraction plant with a capacity of 187 thousand tons per year, with an estimated cost of more than 6 billion rubles. At present, the investment phase has been completed, the investor's obligations have been fulfilled, 392 new jobs have been created, and the plant is one of the largest exporters in Bashkortostan. Oil produced in Kumertau is now supplied to the Baltic countries, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iran. In 2019, the plant opened a Chinese direction. 1200 tons of sunflower oil are produced here per day.

 "In 2021, 5 more new companies became residents of the Kumertau priority development area, the total investment in projects is 2.5 billion rubles, 246 new jobs will be created. Currently, two more applications are under consideration; the implementation of these projects will additionally attract more than 300 million rubles to the economy of the single-industry city," Oleg Frolov, head of the Kumertau city administration, told Bashinform News Agency.

 Another resident - MPP-Kumertau LLC produces clothing sets for soft toys of the Russian brand BUDI BASA. This is a subsidiary of MPP, one of the largest domestic manufacturers of soft toys, clothes, and accessories.

Another resident of the Kumertau PDA is the Bash-Denim enterprise. It produces denim clothing for children, teenagers, and adults under the LIGAS brand, as well as various workwear.

Oiltimmash was founded in 2017. It is a division of Oiltimm. Now the company employs about 300 people. Here they are engaged in the development, production, and implementation of innovative products in early oil production, mobile complexes for the study and development of wells. The volume of investments amounted to 269 million rubles.

"Ratsion" LLC is engaged in producing baby food and semi-finished products of a high degree of readiness ta the Kumertau PDA.

"Rybopitomnik" LLC has been leading its history since 2004. The company specializes in growing fish in freshwater using modern high-intensity technologies.

Last year, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia registered 31 residents of the priority development areas of Bashkortostan. This is 29% higher than in 2020, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy RB Rustam Muratov said.

At the moment, the republic ranks second among the regions of Russia in terms of the number of investors attracted to the PDA. At the same time, 11 applications of companies for "residence" are currently under consideration, which at the beginning of 2022 will already become residents of the PDA of Bashkortostan.

This year, it is planned to continue work on implementing projects with a total investment of more than 52 billion rubles and the creation of 8,000 jobs.

Bashkortostan has five priority social and economic development areas: Belebey, Kumertau, Blagoveshchensk, Neftekamsk and Beloretsk. PDA residents can apply reduced tax rates, insurance premium rates, as well as other federal and regional preferences.
