

It is planned to build waste processing facilities with a capacity of more than 500 thousand tons per year in the landfill territory in Cherkassy in the Ufa region, Ildar Garifullin, First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Bashkortostan, told Bashinform News Agency.
According to the project, a waste sorting complex, composting areas, a waste processing complex for fuel production from MSW, and additional landfill disposal maps will be built here.
The project cost is 6 billion rubles. It will be built on a concession basis, an agreement has been signed with the Russian Environmental Operator, and the company is ready to invest the necessary funds.
Note that the landfill in Cherkassy with a total area of more than 100 hectares has been in operation for more than 40 years. The modernization will extend the service life from 15 to 23 years, the Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ural Iskandarov said earlier.
