Today, December 28, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov held a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of UTair Aviation PJSC Andrey Martirosov. The parties summed up the results of cooperation in 2021, discussed the prospects for the development of air transportation from the Ufa airport, maintenance, and repair of aircraft.
"Your airline is a reliable partner of our republic," Radiy Khabirov said. "This year, we jointly have significantly expanded the geography of domestic flights from the Ufa International Airport. We are planning to develop international air traffic after lifting the sanitary and epidemiological restrictions, as Bashkortostan is building up cooperation with the states of the near and far abroad".
According to Andrey Martirosov, this year, the number of passengers served by the airline in the region has grown by 50% compared to 2020. Next year UTair plans to increase this figure by another 30%.
"The Ufa airport also successfully operates maintenance centers for foreign and domestic UTair aircraft," Andrey Martirosov added. "In 2022, we will increase the number of their personnel and expand the competence of the centers to carry out complex repairs."
UTair is a Russian airline that operates passenger and cargo flights in Russia and abroad and maintains aircraft - airplanes and helicopters. It has the world's largest operating helicopter fleet in size and carrying capacity. UTair is one of Russia's top 6 air carriers in terms of passenger traffic.
UTair Airlines operates about 500 regular passenger flights from Ufa International Airport, including direct flights (bypassing Moscow) to Tyumen, Surgut, Volgograd, Samara, Voronezh, Krasnodar, Gelendzhik, Sochi, Grozny, Mineralnye Vody, Anapa.
