First production to utilize polyethylene waste will appear in Bashkiria in 2022

The first production facility to utilize polyethylene waste (POLIEF) will appear in Bashkiria in 2022. In addition, it is planned to create a large enterprise (Bioflex), which will collect polyethylene and not only in the republic, First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ildar Garifullin told Bashinform, commenting on the progress of waste reform in the region.

Earlier, at a press conference in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the waste reform was moving forward in the country as a whole despite all the difficulties. According to him, one of the essential tasks was the emergence of operators, which were created in almost all regions. The number of sites increased significantly. The reform implementation is ahead of the plan by 40%, which is higher than the planned indicators.

Today four regional operators are working in the republic. In more than 22 thousand container sites, over 56 thousand containers are installed, more than half of them are Euro containers. Bashkiria received 13.4 million rubles for these purposes under the federal program this year.

In addition, there are four waste sorting complexes in the Republic of Bashkortostan, and there are also plans to create 19 waste sorting complexes. All waste, which is more than 1 million tons, will go through the waste sorting complexes.
