New grant for agricultural producers is introduced in Russia since 2022- Agrotourism

The corresponding decree, changing the state program for agriculture development, was approved by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Agrarians can count on a grant of up to 10 million rubles.

Representatives of small agricultural businesses will receive state support for projects on the development of rural tourism.

"Such projects may include the construction or renovation of premises for accommodating tourists and the improvement of adjacent territories, the creation of entertainment infrastructure, the purchase of tourist equipment, equipment, and inventory," the government's press service explained.

The payback period of the project should not exceed five years. Entrepreneurs must invest part of the funds in the project. So, to receive a grant of up to 3 million rubles, it is necessary to invest 10% of the project cost, up to 5 million rubles - 15%, up to 8 million rubles - 20%, up to 10 million rubles - at least 25%.

The Ministry of Agriculture will carry out the selection of projects for the grant.

In 2022, 300 million rubles will be allocated to provide grants from the federal budget; in 2023 - 500 million rubles, in 2024 - 700 million rubles.

The government expects that the new support measure will positively affect the employment of the rural population, increase sales of agricultural products, and help the regional economic development as a whole.
