Head of Bashkiria pays special attention to Ufa and republic development - Sergey Grekov

"On the eve of the big anniversary of the city, Radiy Khabirov pays special attention to the development of Ufa and the republic, including such large infrastructural objects as the construction of a bridge-insert across the Belaya River, of the Eastern exit project. This year we have delivered a new bridge insert. This allowed us to solve the problem of traffic jams in this direction. In 2024, we plan to complete the construction of the Eastern exit. We will have an almost direct connection between the M5 and M7 highways. This is a very important, long-awaited, and expensive project for our city", the mayor of the city Sergey Grekov said at a meeting with journalists.

Sergey Grekov called the upcoming renovation of the old arched bridge across the Belaya another essential infrastructure facility for the capital. According to him, it will be practically a new bridge, and it will be built by 2024.

The Eastern Exit project envisages the construction of a road tunnel more than 1.2 km long, the construction of a bridge over the Ufa River with an overpass section of more than 2.6 km, and a 10-km section of a toll highway with direct access to the M5. The project is being implemented as a concession agreement concluded in 2017 between Bashkir Concession Company LLC (the concessionaire is part of VTB Infrastructure Holding) and the Republic of Bashkortostan (concession company), on the principles of public-private partnership. The term of the concession is 25 years.

The task of the Eastern exit is to unload the road and street network of Ufa. It is assumed that after commissioning the facility, more than 22 thousand cars will pass there every day. And this will become a driver for the development of the region's infrastructure. The facility's volume of construction and installation work amounted to 33.5 billion rubles.
