The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, positively assessed the current export activities of the region. He stated this at the International Business Week that opened today in Ufa.
"Our methodological business partner is the Russian Export Center, which is very helpful in our work. We end this year better than the last one. However, we still need to increase foreign trade turnover. We have begun to increase the share of non-resource non-energy exports significantly and are entering foreign markets with a new line of products. However, I repeat: we still have room to grow," Radiy Khabirov stated at the plenary session "Export and Investment: New Opportunities."
As the General Director of the Russian Export Center Veronika Nikishina said at the meeting, according to the Federal Customs Service, for ten months of 2021, the volume of non-resource non-energy exports of Russia reached a record 153 billion US dollars.
"In fact, this is the annual level of the before-COVID periods. By the end of 2021, we plan to reach the figure of $ 185 billion in non-resource non-energy exports," the head of the Russian Export Center said. "As for the Bashkortostan export, in the first nine months of 2021, it increased by 17 percent compared to the same period last year. Within total exports, non-resource non-energy exports increased by 37 percent. These are quite outstanding figures."
Today Bashkortostan exports its goods to 117 countries of the world. According to Veronika Nikishina, these are "really good achievements of the republic, despite the era of the pandemic."
Meanwhile, as emphasized at the plenary session of the International Business Week 2021, the export potential of many regions is promising, and its opportunities are still underused.
"We are monitoring the situation in all regions, and I can say that the well-coordinated work of the team that is engaged in export support in Bashkortostan, from the Head of the Republic to the Regional Export Support Center, is yielding results," Veronika Nikishina stated. The well-coordinated work is in many ways the key to the success that the republic is demonstrating today. Its experience is then replicated in other regions."
As the Bashinform News Agency previously reported, today, International Business Week-2021 opened in Ufa. The large-scale forum will continue its work until December 18.
