Bashkiria should restore mutual trade turnover with Belarus to $ 700 million

At the weekly briefing session in the government, the Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of Bashkortostan Margarita Bolycheva reported on the visit of the official delegation RB to Belarus.

The business mission included 53 enterprises of our republic. This was the largest number of companies in the history of foreign visits of delegations of Bashkortostan. As it was said during the meeting between the Head of Bashkortostan and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, one of the main tasks is to restore trade turnover with Belarus to 700 million US dollars.

She noted that during the visit of the delegation of the republic to Belarus, 18 agreements were signed, and a representative office of the Congress Bureau of Bashkortostan was opened in Minsk.

During the visit, cooperation issues in agriculture, primarily agricultural machinery, were discussed. In particular, the Minsk Tractor Plant plans to organize the assembly of Belarus-2103 caterpillar tractors at the Bashselkhoztekhnika state enterprise. There was also a conversation about opening direct flights between Ufa and Minsk.

Business circles took an active part in the presentation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, held more than 250 meetings and negotiations in the B2B format in several industries, and reached more than 100 cooperation agreements. As a result of the business mission, ten cooperation agreements were signed for over 110 million rubles.

On a return visit, the delegation of Belarus will visit Ufa this week and take part in the International Business Week, which starts on December 15.

The Head of Bashkortostan instructed the first Deputy Prime Minister of the government, Rustam Muratov, to supervise the mutual agreements reached during the visits of the republic’s delegation to Belarus and Kazakhstan.

“Belarus is one of our main trade and economic partners along with Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Austria. We are actively looking for new directions for the implementation of joint projects. The plans for interaction with Belarus and Kazakhstan, which we will determine at the International Business Week, should be fixed in the relevant roadmaps and analyzed in a year,” Radiy Khabirov said.
