

A new composition of 10 elected members included all the vice-presidents of the parent Rosneft: Gennady Bukaev, Elena Zavaleeva, Kasimiro Didier, Ural Latypov, Alexander Romanov, Runye Zelko, Igor Tabachnikov, Andrey Shishkin.
Two representatives of Bashkortostan remained on the Board of Directors: Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic Andrey Nazarov and Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of PJSC Inter RAO, former Head of Bashkortostan (2010-2018) Rustem Khamitov.
Bashneft CEO Khasan Tatriev and Operations Planning Advisor in the rank of Rosneft Vice President Artem Prigoda left the Board of Directors.
Bashneft was privatized in 2002 by Ural Rakhimov, and in 2005 it was acquired by Sistema PJSFC of Vladimir Yevtushenkov. In 2014-2015, the company was deprivatized. 50.08% of the company's shares were received by the state represented by the Federal Property Management Agency, 25% were transferred to Bashkiria. In 2016, the state-owned stake was bought by Rosneft.
In 2017, Rosneft and Bashneft filed a lawsuit against Sistema in arbitration demanding compensation for more than 106 billion rubles of losses. As a result, almost 136.5 billion rubles were recovered from PJSFC.
