

On December 6, the delegation of Bashkortostan, led by the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, arrived in Belarus on an official visit.
The purpose of the visit is to develop cooperation between the authorities and businesses of Bashkortostan and Belarus in petrochemistry, mechanical engineering, machine-tool building, agriculture, mutual trade, to expand industrial cooperation between enterprises, mutual participation in exhibit and fair events, strengthen interregional collaboration.
According to the press service of the Head of the Republic, the parties plan to discuss the possibility of supplying Belarusian agricultural machinery to Bashkortostan, as well as products of republican enterprises to Belarus.
The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov will meet with President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Prime Minister of the country Roman Golovchenko, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Belarus Yevgeny Lukyanov.
The visit will include a meeting of the working group on cooperation between Bashkortostan and Belarus, a presentation of the investment and economic potential of the region, the opening of a representative office of the Congress Bureau of Bashkortostan in Belarus. The members of the delegation will also visit large enterprises in Belarus.
The business mission of Bashkortostan includes representatives of more than 50 companies. Bashkir Soda Company, Bashkhim Trading House, Avtonormal Belebeevsky Plant, Avangard, Salavatsteklo, Bashinformsvyaz, Steklonit, Iskozh are among them. The republic's small and medium-sized businesses will be represented by the enterprises ESM, Stankomontazh, HRC-Export, Uralinvest, Alternativa Express", Bashlesservice and others. It is planned to hold b2b negotiations between the business delegation and Belarusian companies.
Belarus ranks fourth in the total volume of the republican trade turnover with a share of 7 percent. In 2020, the foreign trade between Bashkortostan and Belarus amounted to $ 285 million.
Among the products exported from Bashkortostan are oil, gas and oil products, soda ash, caustic and baking soda, plastics, catalysts, rubber and other chemical products, medicines, iron wire, ropes and cables, springs, fasteners, construction equipment, locking fittings, elevators, hydraulic installations, geophysical instruments, electrical equipment, floating equipment, as well as food products and agricultural raw materials.
The main items of imports from Belarus are refrigerators and freezers, agricultural equipment, washing machines, pumps, engines, loading machines, elevators, transformers, electric stoves and electrical wires, plastic products, textiles, tractors, trucks, fiberboards and particle boards, glass products, furniture, ceramic products.
