Products volume shipped by Sterlitamak enterprises for 9 months amounted to 98.2 billion rubles

On November 23, Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov held a visiting government meeting on the social and economic development of the city of Sterlitamak.

"Sterlitamak, as one of the largest industrial centers of the republic with a powerful industrial potential, traditionally occupies a leading position in many areas of socio-economic development," Andrey Nazarov said. "According to the results of the federal assessment of the local self-government bodies effectiveness, Sterlitamak for 2020, as well as at the end of 2019, took first place among eight urban districts of the republic".

The mayor of Sterlitamak Rustem Gazizov noted that, according to preliminary data from the 2021 census, more than 280 thousand people live in the city. According to the results of the last census, the population of Sterlitamak was 274 thousand people.

For nine months of this year, 30.5 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned. In January-August 2021, there was a positive financial trend. In general, the city received a profit in the amount of 16.7 billion rubles, with an increase of 16.8% over the same period in 2020.

"The development of Sterlitamak is going at quite a good pace, but there are several areas requiring support by the republic. We will strengthen this work. In particular, housing construction. If earlier Sterlitamak was in fourth place in the republic, today, unfortunately, it has moved to 12th place. There are reasons for this; nevertheless, we will solve it jointly so that city residents can have the amount of housing they need," Andrey Nazarov said.

In addition, the Prime Minister drew the attention of the Sterlitamak mayor to the need to improve the city's transport infrastructure.

"The volume of products shipped by industrial enterprises in January-September 2021 amounted to 98.2 billion rubles and increased by 26.1% compared to the same period last year," Andrey Nazarov said.
