Bashkiria livestock breeders reimbursed 285 million rubles for pedigree cattle purchase

Since the beginning of this year, agricultural producers in Bashkiria have received 285 million rubles of subsidies for partial reimbursement of the costs of purchasing young pedigree animals. At the same time, young cattle were most often purchased, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the region.

The department recalled that the acquisition of pedigree livestock in the republic is subsidized in 50 percent of the costs, but not more than 60 thousand rubles per head.

“In 10 months of 2021, agricultural producers of the republic purchased more than 4.2 thousand heads of cattle,” Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of Bashkiria, stated.

As the head of the agricultural department emphasized, the renewal of the dairy herd is one of the critical factors in implementing investment projects in animal husbandry.

“It is not for nothing that the main buyers of young pedigree stock are enterprises that implement large investment projects in the republic. Among them are agricultural enterprises “Urozhai” from Aurgazinsky and “Pobeda” from Kaltasinsky districts,” Ilshat Fazrakhmanov added.

In most cases, agricultural producers in Bashkiria bought young pedigree stock in the regions of Russia this year - 37 percent. The share of imported livestock was 34 percent, the remaining 29 percent - animals from breeding farms in Bashkiria.
