

On November 17, the Minister of Transport of Russia, Vitaly Savelyev, visited the exposition of Bashkortostan presented at the International Exhibition "Transport of Russia" in Moscow. Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Raif Abdrakhimov told him about the significant sectoral achievements of the republic, as well as large-scale projects in the field of transport and road construction.
Among the projects presented at the stand is the largest infrastructure project in the Volga Federal District, Eastern Exit. It provides for the completion of a road tunnel construction with a length of more than 1.2 km, a bridge over the Ufa River with an overpass section over 2.6 km in length, and a 10-km section of a toll highway with direct access to the M-5 highway. The entire Eastern exit is planned to be built by the end of 2023.
Vitaly Savelyev highly appreciated the importance of the project for the development of the transport infrastructure of Ufa and the unloading of the road and street network of the capital of Bashkortostan.
Raif Abdrakhimov also presented a project of the Ufa railway ring to the Minister. Its launch will allow by 2030 to increase the annual passenger traffic on suburban routes of the Ufa agglomeration from 1.5 million to 6.5 million people.
Another project that Bashkortostan features at the exhibition is the construction of a bridge over the Belaya River in the alignment of Internatsionalnaya Street in Ufa. It will optimize transport flows and connect the city's northern industrial part with the federal highways M-5 and M-7. The total length of the bridge with approaches is more than 6 km.
More than 90 exhibitors presented their achievements and developments in the field of transport at the International Exhibition "Transport of Russia", which takes place as part of the "Transport Week 2021". They include transport infrastructure operators, freight and passenger carriers, representatives of the logistics industry, federal and regional executive authorities.
