

Compared to September 2021, food prices increased by 0.7%, at the beginning of the year - by 6.5%, the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency reports.
The growth influenced inflation in prices for vegetables and fruit; in addition, the growth rates of prices for other types of products, including socially significant ones, noticeably accelerated. Prices for eggs (+ 25%), dairy products (almost + 3%), sugar (+ 3.3%), bread and rolls (up + 1.7%) went up.
October inflation in the non-food sector increased by 0.6% versus September, by 7.5% since the beginning of the year and by 7.9% compared to October 2020.
Prices for medicines related to vital and essential drugs (VED) increased by 0.8% on average over the month. The rise in prices for non-VED drugs amounted to 2.5%.
Services fell in price by 0.5% compared to September, by 3.4% since the beginning of the year, and by 3.8% over the year (since October 2020).
