Industrial production index in Bashkiria reaches 104.5 percent

Thus, in the processing industries of the region, the IPP reached 106.4 percent, in the field of providing electricity, gas, and steam - 107 percent, in water supply, sewerage, waste collection, and disposal - 127.1 percent.

On the contrary, in the field of mining, there is a decrease in comparison with last year - 89.6 percent.

At the same time, the largest growth was noted in the production of paper and paper products and the production of medicines and materials used for medical purposes - 222.4 and 217.7 percent, respectively. At the same time, in comparison with January-September last year in Bashkiria, indicators in the production of other finished products and the production of computers, electronic and optical products decreased - 64.7 and 76.9 percent, respectively.

In general, in the Volga Federal District, the industrial production index for nine months of this year amounted to 106 percent. At the same time, the most significant growth in production is noted in the Ulyanovsk region - 124.8 percent, the Nizhny Novgorod region - 114.2 percent, the Saratov region - 113.8 percent, the Kirov region - 107.9 percent, and Mordovia - 106.5 percent.

In nine regions of the Volga Federal District, including Bashkiria, the index value is less than the average for the federal district. So, in Tatarstan, the industrial production index was 105.2 percent, Penza region - 105 percent, Samara region - 104.7 percent, Bashkiria - 104.5 percent, Orenburg region - 104.2 percent, Perm region - 103.8 percent, Udmurtia - 101.4 percent, the Republics of Mari El and Chuvashia - 100.7 percent.

As the Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, the index of industrial production this year is expected to reach 105 percent. In the next three years, the rate will average 105.5 percent annually.
