Swedish company will design inter-university campus in Ufa for 18 billion rubles

The project of the inter-university campus in Ufa for 5 thousand places worth 18 billion rubles will be prepared by a Swedish company with the necessary experience. This was announced by the Chief of Staff of the Head of Bashkiria, Alexander Sidyakin.

"We have conducted competitive procedures. We did not immediately come up with a solution, but a well-known Swedish company, which has experience designing campuses, namely world-class student ones, will be designing it. This, of course, assumes that there will be modern materials, technologies, and equipment that meet the requirements of 2030, and not the twentieth century," Sidyakin emphasized.

The total cost of the campus will be 18 billion rubles. Of these, 10.8 billion rubles will be channeled from the federal budget and 3.6 billion from the regional. The project consists of three stages to be completed by the end of 2025.

The object was conceived as part of Bashkiria's application to create a world-class scientific and educational center under the national project "Science". It will include dormitories for 5 thousand places, laboratories, research, administrative buildings, and a sports complex.

The campus will be located in the center of Ufa, not far from the building of the republican government. Recall that according to the results of the competitive selection in 2020, the application of Bashkiria "Eurasian Research and Education Center" received state support.
