In 2022, Azimut Airlines plans to double its traffic volumes. The company's fleet will be replenished with eight aircraft with a capacity of up to 150 passengers. It will make it possible to open new flights from Ufa to Krasnoyarsk.
In addition, the airline's management plans to organize direct flights from Ufa to Nur-Sultan, Tel Aviv, and Minsk in 2022. It was announced on Monday at the House of the Republic, where the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, met with the management of Azimut Airlines JSC - Chairman of the Board of Directors Pavel Udod and General Director Pavel Ekzhanov. The parties discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of international and interregional transportation.
The prospects of air communication between Ufa and Nur-Sultan were already discussed at the meeting of the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin during the official visit of the Bashkortostan delegation to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Radiy Khabirov spoke about the possibilities of organizing direct flights from the capital of Bashkortostan to Tel Aviv at a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Russia Alexander Ben Zvi at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
According to the General Director of the Ufa International Airport, Alexander Andreev, in 2021, the volume of services will reach 3.8 million people. At the same time, the air hub infrastructure makes it possible to increase passenger traffic by up to 5 million people a year.
The Head of the Republic noted that residents are showing high interest in domestic flights in the context of the coronavirus. In addition, the tourist flow to Bashkortostan from other regions of the country is increasing. In this regard, it is essential to develop the geography and frequency of flights to the most popular destinations.
Pavel Udod, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the airline, thanked the Head of Bashkortostan for the attention to the development of civil aviation. He highly appreciated the organization of work at the Ufa International Airport.
Azimut Airlines is a regional air carrier based in the airport complexes of Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar. It operates flights to major cities in the central part of Russia, the Urals, and Siberia. Since 2018, it has operated flights from Ufa to Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, and since 2021 - to Mineralnye Vody and Yerevan.
