Bashkortostan received 620 million rubles from the federal budget to compensate for the production and sale of grain crops.
Bashkortostan is in the third position in Russia after the Krasnodar Territory and the Rostov Region in the number of funds allocated from the federal budget.
"The amount of federal support was calculated for each subject based on the volume of grain produced," Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said. "The funds will become an excellent support for our agricultural enterprises, especially in the current year, which is difficult in terms of weather conditions."
Today, the Ministry of Agriculture of the republic has begun work on bringing subsidies to the region's agrarians. Agricultural producers will count on compensation for up to 50% of costs, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan explained.
Subsidies for compensation of costs for production and sale of grain come from export duties on agricultural products. Since June 2, the country's Government has tied export duties on agricultural products to grain prices in the world market. Moreover, due to floating rates, it became possible to provide additional funds to grain producers. This year, the total amount of federal funds for these purposes amounted to 10 billion rubles.
