The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbaev, discussed the prospects for developing relations and exchanging experience in lawmaking.
"Russia is a strategic partner of Kazakhstan. Economic and humanitarian cooperation is actively developing between our countries. Moreover, we pay great attention to interaction with the regions of the Russian Federation, " Maulen Ashimbaev said. "Bashkortostan is one of the country's leaders in oil production, a major center of the chemical industry and mechanical engineering. Our peoples are linked by common historical roots and long-standing cultural relations. I am sure that the visit of your delegation will give a new impetus to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation."
Radiy Khabirov noted that the region had developed a wide range of measures to support investors implementing business projects in various sectors of the economy. In this regard, there is a good potential for building up cooperation with Kazakhstan.
"We are actively working to attract investment. At the end of 2020, the republic was the leader in the country in terms of industrial policy efficiency, and also ranked fifth in the National Investment Climate Rating among the regions of Russia, " the Head of Bashkortostan said. "It is essential for us to maintain economic and cultural ties with Kazakhstan. Our entrepreneurs are implementing a large number of joint projects. At the same time, there is a great potential for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation."
Radiy Khabirov said that priority development areas and the special economic zone "Alga" were successfully operating in the region. Their residents receive a wide range of preferences.
"We invite entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan to our republic; we are ready to create comfortable conditions for their business development. In turn, we view Kazakhstan as a good platform for implementing the initiatives of Bashkir companies. During the visit, we will discuss several specific projects in the field of the mining and chemical industries," Radiy Khabirov stressed.
He highlighted the relevance of the development of cooperation in the cultural and educational spheres.
"This year, within the framework of the World Folkloriada, a representative delegation of Kazakhstan visited Bashkortostan. Its creative teams have demonstrated high-performing skills. We are also interested in organizing visits of our artists to Kazakhstan," Radiy Khabirov said. "In addition, Bashkortostan has taken an important step towards creating a world-class Eurasian Research and Educational Center. This is an umbrella-type project to which we also invite partners from Kazakhstan."
