Ufa hosted the Interregional Festival of the Russian Geographical Society "New Russia Discovering. As a Family!". Geoparks, museums, travel companies presented their routes to the guests of the holiday, the branch of the Russian Geographical Society - the projects "Ural Bars", "Askyn Ice Cave", created with the support of the Russian Geographical Society. The festival included contests, meetings with famous travelers, writers, and tourists, and rewarding the winners of the projects of the Russian Geographical Society.

The festival was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Irek Sagitov, Chairman of the State Committee RB for Tourism Elmira Tukanova, and Deputy Executive Director - Director of the Regional Development Department of the Russian Geographical Society Sergey Korlykhanov.

Irek Sagitov recalled that the republic's government provides support to entrepreneurs - they can receive subsidies of up to 5 million rubles by participating in competitions announced this month by the State Committee for Tourism. The main task is to create high-quality tourism products and make services more accessible for guests and residents of the republic themselves. "We set ourselves the task of welcoming at least 5 million tourists a year," the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.

"The tourist market has existed for a long time, but recently its activity has been increasing, the interest of entrepreneurs is especially felt. Tour operators are actively involved in trends and programs that have emerged in the market. A good example is the travel cashback program, which sales window ended in September. Analysts summed up its results according to the results of the autumn season 2021 - the Republic of Bashkortostan again hit the Top of the most visited regions of Russia by tourists. The republic has become the leader in terms of the number of sold trips to spa resorts," Elmira Tukanova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Tourism, commented.
