38% of active population do not see career prospects in Ufa - research

In Ufa, less than half of the residents (36%) consider their city the best for building a career, while 38% say the opposite, and 26% found it difficult to answer the question. This data is provided in a study by SuperJob company. The study, conducted from August 10 to September 20, covered 500 economically active residents of Ufa.

According to the study, fewer and fewer Ufa residents see their successful careers in their hometown every year. For example, in 2018, there were 49% of them; in 2020, it dropped to 40%, and in 2021 - to 36%.

Moscow remains the best city in Russia (noted by 71% of its residents) in terms of career opportunities. The second place is still for St. Petersburg (63%), the third - for Kazan (53%). The five leaders also include Tyumen and Yekaterinburg: 49% and 48% of residents rated them as the best place for their career growth, respectively.

The most challenging thing is to build a career today in Volgograd (only 13% of Volgograd residents consider this city favorable for their professional development), Omsk (14%), and Saratov (13%).

According to the researchers, compared to last year's ranking of the best cities for a career, the ratings of most Russian megacities have declined.
