Head of Bashkiria presented five key projects for regional development at Volga Federal District meeting

On September 23, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, took part in a district meeting on socio-economic development with the heads of four regions of the Volga Federal District.
The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, presented five key projects, which will positively impact the socio-economic development of the Republic. The first project was the "Eurasian Climate Initiative for a Global Energy Transition". As the second project, the measures for creating a large Ufa University and the construction of the campus were named. The third promising project is the formation of a cluster of uncrewed aircraft. The fourth project concerns the development of the Bashkir Trans-Urals. The fifth project is the development of the Ufa agglomeration.
"To achieve the national development goals of the country by 2030, Bashkortostan must ensure a twofold growth of the gross regional product, triple investments - from 365 billion rubles to 1.2 trillion rubles, halve the level of poverty, increase real disposable cash income by more than 35 percent," the Head of the Republic noted.

In the video conference format, the meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko and Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov.
Following the decisions of the previous district meeting, the first to present their projects were Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Samara, and Nizhny Novgorod regions - the most significant regions of the Volga Federal District in terms of population. According to Igor Komarov, they make a substantial contribution to the economy of the district and the country as a whole. More than 14 million people live in these four territories and create 56 percent of the total added value of the Volga Federal District.
Following the meeting, Dmitry Chernyshenko instructed the Ministry of Economic Development of the country, the Coordination Center of the Government of Russia, and Rosstat, together with the regions, to ensure uninterrupted collection of data characterizing the current situation in the regions of the Volga Federal District within a week for further decision-making on the implementation of projects.
